Which solution is right for you, Sun-Room or Equinox?

Deciding which system is best suited to you will depend on the following factors...

Aesthetics

The Sun-Room Ceiling is fitted to the underside of your current ceiling. In terms of appearance, the exterior of your conservatory will look almost the same. On the inside your conservatory will be totally clad with uPVC panels with a tongue and groove effect. The Equinox product on the other hand replaces the current conservatory roof with a new tiled roof and a plastered interior. Both systems look great.

Time to Install

Installation is fast for both the Sun-Room Ceiling and the Guardian Roof.. Here at Sun-Room Newham, we can install a Sun-Room Ceiling within a day and the Equinox Roof should be fully installed and plastered within 3 - 5 days.

Cost

Due to the materials used, the manufacturing and positioning guidelines and the guarantee given, there is a big difference in cost between the two constructions.  A Sun-Room Ceiling will work out at about a fifth of the price when compared to a Equinox Roof.

Insulation Values

Each of the systems have really good insulating properties. A Sun-Room Ceiling uses insulation with a U-value of 0.175

Bespoke Designs

A Sun-Room Ceiling allows you to keep existing roof vents and if needed, some of your ceiling can be left exposed to let in additional light. A Guardian Roof allows for the installation of roof vents, as well as the locating of spotlights where necessary.
